Police Steps up Security, Involves UPDF Personnel to Enforce COVID-19 Guidelines in Kibaale

Police in Kibaale have stepped up security in all sub-counties, Kibaale district following continued reluctance and breakage of directives issued by president Museveni to curb the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Today the district security committee convened a meeting in which they resolved to beef-up police with UPDF from Bubango detach to ensure bars are closed 24 hours and stop public gatherings.

Deborah Mbabazi, the RDC Kibaale while addressing our reporters soon after the security meeting at the district headquarters says that they are considering Bwamiramira Sub County Community hall as the detention/isolation in case of any arrest.

She says those arrested will not receive food and other assistance from the government.

When asked about canning people in trading centres by security personnel, the DPC Kibaale, David Otabong admits that they are bound to apply recommended force to errant individuals who are refusing to implement President Museveni’s directives on coronavirus.
