Kagadi Journalists under their umbrella of Bunyoro South Journalists Association (BUSOJA) based in Kagadi District have received their re-usable face masks courtesy of EMESCO Development foundation a non-governmental organization based in Kibaale district.
There donation follows the recent guideline from Ministry of health requiring every person to wear a mask while appearing in a Public place beginning with tomorrow Tuesday 19th this month.
EMESCO Development foundation last week on Friday donated 6,000 re-usable face masks to the district COVID-19 Taskforces of Kagadi, Kibaale and Kakumiro in response to the government prevention measure of wearing face masks towards the fight against COViD-19.
According to EMESCO Executive Director Dr. Emely Kugonza JP proposed that Journalists should be among the main beneficiaries of the face masks.
While handing over the two re-usable face masks to each journalist based in Kagadi District in a function that was held today at Kagadi freedom tree in Kagadi Town Council, Kasooha Ismael the president Bunyoro South Journalists Association (BUSOJA) hailed EMESCO of the enormous support towards the towards journalists.
Kasooha urged journalists to wear face masks while executing their duties in Public to avoid arrest following the gazette of wearing masks for every person appearing in a Public place begging with tomorrow Tuesday 19th this month
Kasooha however, says as journalists they still welcome other organization and people willing to facilitate journalists especially with sanitizers, gloves among others in response to the government prevention measure towards the fight against COViD-19.
Speaking to journalists from different radio station, newspapers and Televisions of Kagadi District after receiving re-usable face masks appreciated EMESCO for the donation and asked for more.
