15 suspects discharged in Kagadi after testing negative for COVID-19

Kagadi- 15 COVID-19 suspects who have been under quarantine at Bishop Rwakaikara primary school in Kagadi town council have been discharged. 

The suspects were discharged on Thursday morning by health officials after they all tested negative for COVID-19.

 Health officials and the COVID-19 task force in the district placed the suspects under quarantine on July 17 after they were suspected to have come into close contact with a 40-year-old man who tested positive for the virus in the district on July 16.  

A 40 year old man was working with Shengeli Engineering Construction Company in Mabaale town, Kagadi district.

The patient was among the 8 confirmed cases from 2,405 samples tested on July 16.

George Gulyetonda, the Kagadi district communications officer says that health officials and the district COVID-19 task force decided to release the suspects from the quarantine centre after all their blood samples tested negative for the disease.
