Minister Kasaija urges Ugandans not to trust the management of the state affairs into the hands of inexperienced candidates

Hoima-The Minister for Finance Planning and economic development Matia Kasaija has asked Ugandans not to trust the management of the state affairs into the hands of young and inexperienced candidates saying it’s not easy to run a state.

Kasaija says he first fell out with the NUP presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu aka Bobi Wine after he reportedly said he could run for presidency immediately after joining parliament.

According to Kasaija, he advised Bobi Wine to first make wider consultations among different categories of people including President Yoweri Museveni on how state affairs are managed.

Kasaija made the remarks on Saturday afternoon while meeting youths under their umbrella Hoima Youth Generation for Museveni at Millennium Business School in Hoima town, who are going to form part of the team to carry out door-to-door mobilization as they canvass for NRM.

Kasaija said for continued and guaranteed security, peace and development, Ugandans need to trust the management of the state affairs into the hands of the current NRM presidential candidate Yoweri Museveni whom he described as a champion in that.

He said although it remains a challenge for the government to address individual youth concerns, the ruling government prioritizes youth affairs citing free education for all, creation of youth education support fund, youth livelihood program, Uganda Women Empowerment project, the skilling program, Emyooga among others.

He advised Ugandans to embrace and join the private sector if they want easy wealth other than yearning to join civil service since the country produces over 600,000 graduates into the job market every year.

Meanwhile, the youth represented by Deogratious Ssemwogere, the team leader asked the government to support them with tools in brick laying, carpentry and welding, and solon operations among others. They also demanded to meet President Yoweri Museveni when he comes for his presidential campaigns this month.

Samuel Kisembo, the RDC Hoima however asked the youths to shun violent and comedy candidates who want to plunge the country into turmoil.
