The FDC presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat has revealed that his government will focus on protecting all the natural resources that are being exploited commercially especially in Bunyoro.
He cites Bugoma central forest Reserve part of which was handed to Hoima sugar for sugarcane growing.
Amuriat made the revelation today while campaigning at Kagadi freedom tree in Kagadi town.
He also assured people of Bunyoro to rationalize the 3% oil benefits by increasing it to 10% and restoring the natural forests.
Amuriat also promised to improve on health services citing elevating Kagadi general hospital to referral hospital status as well as increasing the salary for health workers.
He also plans to pay shs 100,000 to every family for the period of 6 months in compensation for COVID 19.
In Kibaale, Police commanded by the regional police Commander Deo Obura fired tear gas and bullets to disperse supporters of the FDC presidential candidate Patrick Oboi Amuriat.
He however accused president Museveni for failing to invest in essential services like health, education among others
