A man in Kitonezi B village, Nyamarunda Sub County in Kibaale district has gone into hiding after killing his estranged wife.
Gerald Ssemate, a resident of the same area cut his wife Ajuna Costa aged 24, several times on Neck, face and Hands killing her instantly.
Joseph Nkuna, a brother to the deceased narrates that a 4-year-old daughter of the deceased saw her father Gerald Ssemate fight her mother before killing her(deceased) in the garden where she was carrying out bush clearing.
The Chairperson LC1 Kitoneezi B, Joseph Kyamiza says that he received
information about the incident at around 11am soon after the incident and
informed Nyamurunda Police post who also notified their superiors at Kibaale
police station.
Joseph who condemns the gruesome act reports that his office has registered several cases of the couple relegated to domestic violence.
The Officer In-charge Kibaale police station, Oyo Thomas says that they have dispatched detectives at the scene to conduct postmortem and commence investigations.
