Long serving LC1 chairperson dies of diabetes in Kagadi

Residents of Kagadi Town Council in Kagadi District are mourning the sudden death of Muzei Laurensio Lukwago Amooti, the long serving LC1 chairman of Kagadi central cell.

Lukwago, 87 died today morning at his home in Kagadi town.

His death drew condolence messages from friends and relatives.

According to his daughter, Grace Namuddu, Muzei Lukwago succumbed to pressure and diabetes which he battled for a long time.

Muzei Lukwago who is also the father to Francis Mugerwa, the Head of communications 

Bunyoro Kitara Kingdom and Vice President, Kitara Football club, has been the LC1 chairperson since 1986.

Namuddu described her father as a talented man who worked with different organizations as a senior carpenter, mechanic and driver in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district.

Namuddu Grace further says the late Lukwago will be buried tomorrow Tuesday at his home in Nyaruziba A Cell in Kiraba Town Council Kagadi District.

Matia Kisembo, one of the elder persons in Kagadi town described the late Lukwago as a creative and committed man during his life time.

Kwatiramunda Kakatira who is the vice chairman of Kagadi central cell, described the late Lukwago as an intelligent and transparent man for 34 years they have stayed together.
