Muslims urged to work for development by educating their children

Kakumiro-Muslims in Kakumiro district have been urged to desist from religion based on divisionism and work for development by educating their children.


The call was sounded by Dr Kasirivu Atwooki the state Minister in charge of the Vice President’s office.

Dr Kasirivu who is also the Bugangaizi West MP made the remarks on Wednesday during a meeting held at Rwensera Muslim primary school in Kakumiro Town to prepare for the inauguration of Kakumiro Muslim .


He says Muslims should unite for a harmonious living and also  educate their children.
The Bunyoro-Tooro regional Kadhi, Doctor Muhamad Irumba said that all processes of granting Kakumiro a district Muslim status are in final stages and it is currently working on the interim status.

 Muslims in Kakumiro requested for their own Muslim district status which will be curved from Hoima.


Dr Kasirivu has pledged to lobby for a modern mosque for Kakumiro since it is going to get a district status. He has also commended Muslims for supporting him and the NRM government.
The acting Kakumiro district Kadhi,Sheik Rajab Kyeyune says Kakumiro Muslims are in high gear preparing for the launch of the district Muslim status anytime.
