Three Injured in Nakulabye Bar Shooting

Police is hunting for a man accused of shooting and injuring three people at a bar in Nakulabye, a Kampala Suburb.   

Luke Owoyesigire, the Deputy Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson, says the incident happened around 9:00am this morning near Gelop Pump Fuel Station.  

He says the suspect only identified as Mpola,shot and injured three persons over a quarrel, and escaped from the scene. 

The building in which the incident occurred houses a bar, a petrol station and a supermarket.  

“The victims were rushed to different health facilities. Cartridges recovered at the scene. The hunt is on for the suspect who is currently on the run,” says Owoyesigire.  

Police has identified two of the victims as Geoffrey Burora, the Manager Gelop Bar, and Geofrey Lubi, a resident of Nakaseke. The third victim is yet to be identified.
