PAC approves 1.2B Shs in Kagadi district

Public accounts committee has approved 1.2b Shillings used by different Kagadi district departments in the last second quarter.

Before coming to the final resolution the committee had held two meetings in vain due lack of proper accountability by stakeholders, contradicting accountability among others.

In the same meetings PAC have also been quizzing the deputy district chief administrative officer Fredrick Balemezi and the chief finance officer Vincent Natugonza over complications to give proper accountability.

During the last meeting held yesterday at Kagadi District Council hall in Kagadi Town Council, Kagadi District, finally the chief finance officer Vincent Natugonza gave out a proper accountability that satisfied PAC hence approving it.

According to Ndibwami, the approved accountability will be allocated to facilitate various projects in the district.
