Christians asked to be vigilant against evil acts during lent season

Christians have been asked to notice three fundamental activities associated with the lent season if they are to benefit from the festival.

The three fundamental activities include regular prayers, Merciful hearts and helping the needy.

The remarks was made today by Rev Father Charles Kakooza a priest at St Mary’s Kagadi Catholic Parish in Kagadi town council, Kagadi district during holy mass.

It is remembered that today Christians marked the first Sunday of Lent Season.

Rev. Father Charles Kakoza appealed Christians to be vigilant against evil acts during the lent season citing the four Temptations Jesus met under the command of  the devil during his period of 40 days he spent in the desert fasting.

In Kakumiro district, Christians have been asked to reflect their daily acts during lent season if they are to stay in harmony.

The revelation was made today by Rev Fr. Robert Bunkya a parish priest at Kakindo Catholic Parish in Kakumiro district.
