Bishop Kahuma warns voters in Buyaga East against chaos ahead of 2021 general elections

The Bishop of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese, RT Reverend Samuel Kahuma Abwooli has appealed Voters in Buyaga East constituency to keep peace and order during the 2021 General elections campaigns.

Bishop Kahuma made the plea yesterday during his visitation at St. Paul Nyaigana COU Parish the Headquarters of Nyaigana Archdeaconry in Kyanaisoke Sub County, Kagadi district.

Bishop Kahuma says, he is getting several reports from Kagadi district indicating that the incoming general elections of 2021 especially in Buyaga East constituency on the MP Seat that will not be easy and may resort into shading blood.

Bishop Kahuma however called for Peace in the constituency and advised candidates alongside their supporters to avoid political Pressure in order to go away from such incidents that may result from disorganization of the region.     

During the same function Bishop Kahuma confirmed 44 Christians into Anglican faith.

Bishop Kahuma further cautioned voters against voting their leaders in favour of giving them gifts instead elect capable leaders.

Speaking to KKCR FM shortly after the service, Patrick Kakooza the aspirant for Buyaga East Constituency MP Seat applauded Bishop Kahuma for delivering a counseling message to the People of Kagadi especially Voters in Buyaga East.

He appealed farmers to do early planting since the down pour are ongoing to avoid food insecurity in the area.

The function was also graced by Kitone Godfrey the LC3 chairperson Kyanaisoke Sub-County, the Kibaale district Speaker Disan Tusiime and his deputy Amos Seburiba among others.
