Kyenjojo Man Arrested for Chopping Wife’s Hand

A man in Kyenjojo is in police custody for chopping off the hand of his expectant wife following a misunderstanding. 

The Kyenjojo District Police Commander, Julius Baganza identifies the suspects as Yusufu Atuhairwe, a resident of Butendagwo village in Nyantungo Sub County.    

He was picked up this morning for chopping off the hand of his wife, Harriet Kabakasaba, 30 on Tuesday night. 

According to Baganza, preliminary investigations show that Atuhaire attempted to murder Kabakasaba but ended up cutting off her right hand and injured the other severely.  

He says the suspect fled from the crime scene immediately after the heinous act and was tracked down to undisclosed location.

Kabakasaba has been transferred from Kyenjojo general hospital to Kilembe hospital in Kasese district for better management.
