22-year-old Woman hacked to death in Kagadi

A 22-year-old Woman identified as Joan Asaba a resident of Kaitabahindi Village in Kibanga Ward, Kagadi town council, Kagadi district has been discovered hacked to death using a knife, other house hold items burnt to ashes and her body left in a pool of blood in the house.

The incident happened last evening during the down pour by unidentified assailants.  

According to other sources indicates that, the deceased was living in un established family despite having two Kids from the same father.

It is also reported that the deceased had recently owned a bar business in Kabuga Village in Muhorro sub county, Kagadi district before she went to stay with her Aunt in Kiryanga Sub county, Kagadi district.

The deceased before meeting her fate had just paved away from her Aunt’s home two days back to the father’s house where she stayed alone with her second born baby of 3 months after loss of her mother and the father had got married to another wife in another area.

The father has been identified as Charles Byaruhanga a retired head teacher of government Aided Primary schools in Kagadi district.

According to the Village Chairperson Mr. Francis Byaruhanga, the deceased had never introduced her husband to the Local council one and to the family Members despite the couple having two Kids in which they suspect the husband to have hacked the wife to death after acquiring some Misunderstandings.

Speaking to KKCR FM, the deceased’s elder brother Mr. Bright Kasangaki says he got the information today morning while in his nearby passion fruit garden after witnessing the house door open where the deceased was staying.

Kasangaki said the deceased had left their Aunt’s home in Kiryanga after she felt sick.

The Kagadi Central Police Station Community Liaisons officer James Mbabazi confirmed the incident and asked Women to always introduce husbands to their Parents and Authorities to ease on investigations when such incidents happens.

The Kagadi district Lc5 Chairperson Steven Byaruhanga Mfashingabo asked residents who have the information about the incident to secretly report to police or other concerned leaders.

He further appealed residents to put into Practice yesterday’s call made by the President of Uganda Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni about the protection of the deadly disease of Corona Virus that has hit worldwide from entering in Uganda.
