Bosco Zakaayo, the Gombolola Internal Security Officer-GISO of Kortek Sub County in Bukwo district has been killed. Zakaayo was hacked to death by Timothy Cherista, a resident of Sosho village in Kortek Sub County around 9:30pm when he reportedly found him sleeping with his wife in home.
His lifeless body was found lying in a pool of blood next to the door of Cherista’s bedroom. Fredmark Chesang, the Sipi Region Police Spokesperson has confirmed the incident, saying investigations into the incident are ongoing. He said both Cherista and his wife are still at large.
Michael Chebet, the Kortek Sub County LC 3 Chairperson, says the deceased was suspected of being involved in an extra marital affair with Cherista’s wife, which prompted him to kill him. Zakaayo’s body is lying at Bukwo Health Center IV mortuary pending postmortem.
