EMESCO donate 6,000 face masks to Kagadi, Kibaale and Kakumiro Districts

EMESCO Development foundation a non-governmental organization based in Kibaale district has donated 6,000 re-usable face masks to the district COVID-19 Taskforces of Kagadi, Kibaale and Kakumiro.

The facemasks were handed over today by the EMESCO Executive Director Dr. Emely Kugonza JP at the head offices in Karuguza Kibaale town Council following the gazette of wearing a masks for every person appearing in a Public place begging with 19th this month.

Dr. Emely says the donation is in response to the government prevention measure of wearing face masks towards the fight against COViD-19.

Emely has proposed that medical workers, Market Vendors, Journalists, Boda- Boda cyclists, Restaurant operators and essential government workers be the main beneficiaries of the face masks.

The District Health officers Dr. Sekate Melichiad of Kibaale, Dr. Robert Senteza of Kakumiro and Dr. James Olowo of Kagadi respectively have pledged to distribute the face masks fairly as they hailed EMESCO of the enormous support towards the fight against COViD-19 Pandemic.

While representing Political leaders, the Lc5 Vice-Chairman Kibaale Everest Murubya urged the Public to wear face masks to avoid arrest effective Tuesday next week when the gazzate is to be enforced.

Of recent, EMESCO Development foundation paid airtime on all Radio Stations for the district Taskforces of Kagadi, Kibaale and Kakumiro to sensitize communities on COVID-19 and facilitated Sub County Taskforces in Kibaale to ease communication and coordination.
