Kagadi town council has approved a budget of over 768m for the financial year 2020-2021.
Presenting the budget to the councilors at Nuel guest house in Kagadi town council, the secretary for finance Byabasaija Anatoli said the money will be raised from local revenue collections, Government offers, and recovery of tax arrears among others.
Byabasaija said Roads, administration block, street lighting, construction of Kagadi daily market, beautification of the town; supporting organized groups among others are the key priorities for 2020-2021 financial year.
Businge Geoffrey, the mayor for Kagadi town council said this budget will focus on the projects that will benefit residents of Kagadi town council.
After approving the budget, councilors said the budget will benefit residents of Kagadi town council through improved service delivery.
