Kagadi health officials step up hunt for contacts of Covid-19 positive case

Kagadi-Kagadi district Health team has on Saturday taken a total of 52 samples from suspected COVID-19 Patients as a follow-up of the contacts of the previously confirmed case in the District.

Among the samples taken 40 were residents of Kitooro LC1 in Kagadi town council Kagadi district were the confirmed case was residing while the 12 were suspected patients in the Quarantine centre.

The samples will be transported to Uganda Virus research institute for further analysis.

The district team was joined by the officals from the Ministry of Health and World Health organization to boost of the activities aimed at curtailing the spread of the Noval pandemic in the district.

According to the district communications officer, George Gulyetonda, a beehive of activities including contact tracing, social mobilization and sample collection are expected to continue.
