Former Kibaale district PAC chairperson Wins NRM Primaries

Kibaale – The former chairperson of Kibaale district public accounts committee, Godfrey Muhonge Kasanga has won the Kibaale NRM LCV primaries.

According to results released in the wee hours of today morning  at Bwamiramira sub county headquarters, Muhonge defeated his closest rival Julius Serunjogi known as Ekimarakimara’ with 17,765 votes against Serunjogi ‘s13,546 votes.

The other candidates Baitwa Habert (Farmer) polled 10,295 votes, Kyaligonza Edward Rukuba attained 4,122 votes, Disan Tumusiime polled 4,086 votes and Sewanyana JohnBosco scored 2,116 votes,

The results were announced by the district NRM registrar Ritah Kisarale.

 Muhonge hailed the results as a vote of confidence in his leadership.
