Kagadi-An 80 year old man has been stabbed to death and his two other family members injured when unidentified people ridded their home.
The incident happened on Wednesday night in Gayaza B cell Paacwa town council in Kagadi district.
The deceased has been identified as Cosma Bakainaga, 80, a resident of in Gayaza B cell Paacwa town council.
The injured are Juliet Asiimwe, daughter to deceased and Maria Tindikaba, wife to the deceased.
Jackson Mbabazi, the liaisons officer at Kagadi central police station told our reporter on Thursday afternoon that the attackers raided the home of Cosma Bakainaga and started whacking the family members indiscriminately.
Other family members survived after they fled for their dear lives.
He says that although the police were notified and rushed to the crime scene, it was too late to pursue the attackers since they had already escaped.
Police carried out the postmortem at the scene and handed the body to relatives for burial arrangements, while Maria Tindikaba who was critically injured has been rushed to nearby clinic, pending transfer to Kagadi general hospital for medical attention.

According to Mbabazi, the motive behind the attack is not yet known but investigations into the attack had commenced.
Juliet Asiimwe says she survived the attack after fleeeing the home.
She says after executing their mission, the attackers fled to yet unknown destination.
The LC1 chairperson of Gayaza B,Bigirwenkya Yafasi has condemned the increasing acts of mob justice. He asks residents to always use their leaders to solve the grievances.
