
Education stakeholders and students in Kakumiro District are celebrating Grace Mbabazi, the best 2024 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) female science student, who scored an impressive 19 points in Biology, Chemistry, and Mathematics at URDT-TIJHAAR Girls Community Secondary School in Nkondo-Bwanswa Sub-county.
Mbabazi, who aspires to study medicine at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, dreams of serving as a medical doctor in the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
She attributes her success to hard work, prayers, and strong support from her teachers.
Christine Nyakaisiki the headmistress of URDT-TIJHAAR Girls Community Secondary School, praised Mbabazi for her exceptional academic journey.
She noted that she had excelled from the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) through Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) due to her discipline and dedication.
Her father, Rwatooro Yafesi, a resident of Kaigurumba Village in Nalweyo Sub-county,Kakumiro district expressed pride in his daughter’s determination.
He affirmed his support for her dream of pursuing medicine at Mbarara University and serving in the UPDF as a doctor.
