Police in Kagadi District are appealing to members of the public to help identify the body of an unidentified man currently lying at Kagadi General Hospital Mortuary.
According to the Community Liaison Officer at Kagadi Central Police Station, David Twahirwa, the body was recovered on 17th July 2026 from Nyaibarukya Village in Kyanaisoke Sub-county after residents discovered it dumped along the Kasokero–Kyenzige Road.
Police say the deceased was wrapped in a sack, and preliminary investigations indicate that he may have been murdered elsewhere before his body was transported and abandoned at the scene.
The motive behind the suspected murder has not yet been established, and despite efforts by police, the deceased had not been identified by the time of publication.
Amanyire has appealed to anyone who has a missing male relative or who may have information that could help identify the deceased to visit Kagadi General Hospital Mortuary or report to the nearest police station.
Police say identifying the deceased will be crucial in notifying his family and advancing investigations into the suspected murder.
