Kagadi district COVID -19 taskforce has received two modern hand washing facilities worth UGX 1.2M from the Directors of Timex Bukinda Hydro ‘U’ Limited to boost the campaign against the spread of coronavirus.
The two hand washing facilities have a stand and a top container which can hold 240 Litres of water all together costing 1.2Million Shillings.
While handing over the items at the Kagadi RDC Office today, the managing director of Timex Bukinda Hydro ‘U’ limited Mafasi Muhammed said they decided to donate the items to COVID-19 task force to ease their work.
The two hand washing facilities, one was positioned at the Kagadi RDC Office and another at the DPC office citing the big number of people visiting the offices for help within this period of Corona virus crisis.
Upon receiving of the items, the chairperson of Kagadi district COVID-19 task force, Rutereraho Lillian who is also the resident district commissioner for Kagadi appreciated Directors of Timex Bukinda Hydro U limited for supporting the government to fight the pandemic.
The District Police Commander, ASP Steven Kamar said they have been lacking such Modern washing facilities as they fight against the Covid-19 pandemic saying the problem is now addressed.
Meanwhile the Chairperson LC3 Rugashali Sub County Canon Peter Mutebile said that he and the Directors of Bukinda Hydro U Limited agreed to donate hand washing facilities to different areas in Kagadi district as we fight against corona virus.
The Timex Bukinda Hydro U Limited project from Sri Lanka contracted to construct a dam in Rugashali Sub County Kagadi district.
