Kagadi-Donald Businge known as Badru, a former candidate for Buyaga East parliamentary seat in Kagadi district, was on Sunday 28 06 2020 arrested for alleged failure to pay a sh6m debt.
Businge (NRM) lost to Eric Musana Acaali of NRM.
He was arrested at his home in Entebbe, Kampala before he was transferred to Kagadi central police station.
It is reported that Businge got fuel on credit from Mogas fuel pump station in April last year (2019) and has never cleared.
According to Desteo Ntegeka, the director of Mogas fuel pump station, Donald Businge paid by cheque worth 6m shillings but it bounced and since then he has never bothered to clear the debt.
Efforts to get a comment from the district police commander Kagadi, Stephen Kamar were futile as he was out office and his known phone number could not be reached.
