The Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) has delivered 560 iron sheets to selected beneficiaries in Buyaga East constituency, Kagadi district.
State Minister for Bunyoro Affairs Janepher Namuyangu handed over the consignment to the beneficiaries at the Kagadi district board room.
Benefiting Six Government aided Primary Schools are Mabaale, Kyenzige, Kiryanjagi, Nyaisamba, Kasokero, Ngara and Kyanaisoke Catholic Church
Minister Namuyangu urged the beneficiaries to ensure the iron sheets serve their intended purpose.
The Buyaga East Member of Parliament Eric Musana called for quicker government responses to disasters and cautioned beneficiaries to use the iron sheets properly.
The head teachers of the benefiting institutions thanked the government and MP Musana for his leadership and lobbying efforts.
They committed to using the iron sheets to improve housing conditions at their schools, which were damaged by recent hailstorms.
