Kibaale -Police in Kibaale have discovered the body of a murder suspect hanging on a tree in a bush in Kitonezi B village, Nyamarunda Sub County.
Kibaale police commander, David Otabong, says the man was identified as Gerald Ssemate.
He says Ssemate was wanted for hacking his estranged wife to death on 16th January this year.
Joseph Kyamiza, the chairperson of Kitonezi B village says Semate and his wife Ajuna Costa have been having family problems.
He said Ajuna and Semate had separated but the man forcefully stormed Ajuna’s parents’ home and butchered her.
Since then Semate has been in the hideout until his body was discovered rotting in the bush on Friday afternoon.
The district police commander, David Otabong says the police file on the murder could be closed because there are no other suspects in the case.
He warns the public against lawlessness.
