The Women’s day celebrations for Kagadi District which were slated to take place on 26th next week have been stopped until further notice.
This was revealed last evening by the Kagadi District Woman Member of Parliament Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi while speaking to our News reporter at URDT shortly after a talk show at KKCR FM.
The Kagadi women’s day celebrations for this year were to be held at Mabaale Secondary School in Mabaale Town Council.
Hon Janepher who is main organizer for this day says, the day has been stopped following the Wednesday’s directive from president Museveni suspending all Public rallies and cultural meetings with immediate effect today for 32 days.
Hon Janepher also asked all leaders of schools in Kagadi district to obey President Museveni’s directive by not opening their Schools before the government announces the day to re-open.
