Express FC have appointed Isaac Mwesiga as their new Chief Executive Officer.
The Red Eagles announced the news through a press statement released on Friday.
“As we continue to rebuild out club, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Isaac Mwesiga as the new Express FC CEO, read part of the statement.
Mwesiga replaces Junju Hamza who is understood to have been relieved of his duties by mutual consent.
Through a separate statement, Jjunju announced he is also leaving the Wankulukuku based side.
“By mutual consent i cease being CEO Express Football Club with immediate effect, announced Jjunju.
Jjunju has been CEO of Express FC since 2017, ensuring the club avoided relegation back to the second tier, on the very last day of the 2017/18 season.
He has worked in a hostile environment since his appointment to the role with several sections of the fans always voicing their dis-content towards his stewardship.
During his time, the Red Eagles have seen their financial status stabilize especially after Betway took over as their headline sponsors.
