The National Bureau of NGOs has relocated head offices from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to their new home at Kingdom Kampala in the heart of the city.
In a public notice on Friday May 29, the bureau said the headquarters have been shifted to 3rd Floor, Kingdom Kampala, Plot No. 31 A-35A & 37A-39A Nile Avenue next to UBC.
National Bureau of NGOs is a body mandated to register, regulate, monitor, inspect, coordinate and oversee all NGO activities in Uganda.
“This is to inform all Registered NGOs, stakeholders and the General
Public that the National Bureau for NGOs, that is mandated to register,
regulate, monitor, inspect, coordinate and oversee all NGO activities in
the country, has relocated its Head Office from the Ministry of Internal
Affairs Headquarters on Port Bell Road to the address below with effect
from May 29, 2020;3rd FLOOR, KINGDOM KAMPALA PLOT No. 31A-35A &
37A-39A NILE AVENUE (Next to UBC),” the public notice reads.
No NGO is permitted to operate in Uganda without a valid Certificate of Registration and a Permit of Operation issued by the NGO
Bureau, public notice adds.
