A 15-year-old girl from Democratic Republic of Congo who presented signs and symptoms alike of the deadly coronavirus disease has tested negative.
The Corona Virus Suspected Patient was isolated at Kagadi General Hospital on Thursday last week after sinking into the district via Lake Albert Waters in Ndaiga Sub County, Kagadi district.
She was arrested by Kagadi Police Officers and handed her over to Kagadi General Hospital for quarantine after expressing signs and symptoms of the Pandemic
According to Dr. Isaac Kakibogo, the Kagadi General hospital Superintendent during a phone interview with our reporter last evening, the samples which were taken to Uganda Virus Research Institute tested negative over the pandemic.
However, Dr. Kakibogo appealed to residents of Kagadi district to remain calm and follow the guidelines imposed from the Ministry of Health against the Spread of the pandemic.
He also dismissed allegations by the Public that the suspect had ran away from the hospital quarantine unity.
