The Kagadi district education officer, Bartholomew Bukenya has said that preparations for the reopening of schools for candidate classes are in high gear.
President Museveni on March 18 ordered the closure of schools across the country in an attempt to prevent the spread of coronavirus
Speaking to our reporter last evening, the Kagadi district education officer, Bartholomew Bukenya said, education department has already received funds from the ministry of education to facilitate schools to reopen for candidate classes.
He says the head teachers have also submitted their school budgets as a sign of being ready to reopen schools for candidate classes as guided by the ministries of education and health.
The inspector of schools, Julius Alinda has urged parents with candidate students to also prepare for the reopening of schools for candidate classes.
However, the ministry of education has not yet confirmed the exact date of reopening schools.
