As the number of covid-19 cases increases in Uganda, the Kagadi district woman MP Janepher Kyomuhendo Mbabazi is advising women to help with the country’s partial lockdown by not nagging their husbands.
According to the ministry of health, Uganda has so far registered 317 cases of covid-19.
Since president Museveni imposed the lockdown to prevent the spread of covid-19, the country has also experienced an increase in domestic violence related cases.
As one away of preventing domestic violence, Hon.Janepher is advising women to refrain from being sarcastic if they asked for help with household tasks from their husbands.
She says women should be patient since their husbands no longer work due to the partial lockdown.
Hon.Janepher has also cautioned married couples against misuse of phones in the family as another way of avoiding domestic violence related cases.
