Kikuube-National Resistance Movement Leaders in Kikuube district have said that Bunyoro still needs President Yoweri Museveni’s stay in office more than any other regions in the country.
Launching the “Keep Kikuube yellow” campaign on Monday afternoon at Sir Titi-Winyi primary school Playground, a section of leaders observed that the country’s biggest budget is being invested here in Bunyoro mainly in the Oil and Gas developments.
Francis Kazin, the Kikuube district NRM chairman who is also the Buhaguzi County parliamentary NRM flag bearer said president Museveni has exhibited exceptional leadership skills and ushered in development in Bunyoro region and the country at large.
According to him, Bunyoro needs the leadership of President Yoweri if the region is to benefit from the Oil and Gas developments.
He says the president has remained firm on the construction of the oil refinery in Hoima and other developments in the region despite the fact that the donors wanted Uganda to export all the crude oil.
Peter Banura, the NRM flag bearer for Kikuube LC5 chairperson seat asked the people of Kikuube not to feel ashamed to boldly support the ruling government led by President Museveni and all the NRM Party flag bearers.
