NRM Leaders in Kagadi District last evening(Tuesday) started NRM voter registration with the training and handing over materials to the NRM registrars at the sub-county level which will also deliver materials and train registrars at the village level starting today 12th to prepare for NRM registration.
The workshop was held at Furaha motel in Kagadi town council Kagadi District.
According to the NRM chairperson Omukwenda Ali Murumba says that the exercise is being conduct across the country to identify party members adding that it also gives one chance to vote during NRM primaries elections.
He called upon the Kagadi residents to turn up for registration especially those who have never registered from 13th– 17th march 2024 and it will take place in every village
Speaking to the NRM District registrar for Kagadi District Mikisa John Chrysostom disclosed that among the materials are pens and books, registers saying that village registrars will were aprons during the exercise.
He further warns registrars against fraud in the exercise.
Meanwhile the participants expressed that they will today February start training those that will handle registration excise in the villages.
They added that they are ready to supervise the exercise which will be starting early morning and end at 5:00pm from13th– 17th march 2024.
Kagadi District has over 900 villages, and 35 sub counties including town councils.
