Abasiita Clan have registered at Bunyoro-Kitara Kingdom office.
A delegation led by Mr Fred Byenkya, the Vice chairperson of the clan held a meeting with BKK Social Affairs and Cultural Officer Owek Robert Rukahemura in his office at BKK.
The team of elders from Abasiita clan included The Vice chairperson Mr. Fred Byenkya who steped in for the regional chairperson, Eng. Balimunsi Peter together with the clan’s Senior Elder and culturalist Rev. Kitalibira John.
They appreciated the kingdom for organizing and empowering the clan’s through a number of activities and further pledged to support the Kingdom’s development programs.
Owek. Rukahemura appreciated the clan for responding positively to the ongoing clan registration exercise and embracing all Kingdom programs.
The Kingdom initiated a registration exercise for all clans inorder to streamline and strengthen them.
It should be remembered that this year’s BKK-MTN Engada tournament will be played between only registered clans.
Clans that have not yet registered are requested to embrace the exercise.
For a clan to register, it is required to submit a constitution, names of the clan executive committee, names and contacts of clan cluster leaders and a registration fee of Shs 100,000.
