Uganda National Examinations Board-UNEB has withheld
Uganda Advanced Certificate of Examinations results of 126 candidates from 26
centers for alleged malpractice.
The UNEB Executive Secretary, Dan Nokrach Odongo disclosed this while releasing
the UACE results at the Office of the Prime Minister today morning.
According to Odongo, the highest cases of malpractice were registered in Science subjects.
Data from UNEB shows that 38,737 candidates passed with 3 principals passes compared to 36,656 in 2018.
A total of 103,429 candidates sat for last year’s examinations. 1,047 candidates did not sit for last year’s examinations.
Meanwhile Kagadi district registered better performance in the UACE 2019 results with the best candidates of 16 points.
According to the min survey conducted by our reporters in different secondary schools around Kagadi and Muhorro Town Councils, Kagadi SS known as Musoil and Bunyoro SS still leads with the best candidates of 16 points.
Kagadi Secondary School also registered three staff members of KBS FM Radio who also passed with flying colors.
They include Byamukama Edward who scored 10 points in arts, Aganyira Anatori 8 points and Mugisa B. Vincent 6 points.
Kagadi Secondary School also had an officer from Kagadi Police station identified as Ankunda Obed who scored 10 points.
Kagadi people’s SS attained three best candidates with 15 points and Kagadi Academy one candidate with 15 points.
Among other schools St. Adolf Tibeyalirwa SS Muhorro has a candidate of 15points, St. Margret Girls Muhorro SS a candidate of 9 points, Owobusobozi Bisaka Modern SS with a candidate of 15 points, St. Francis Xavier modern O and A Level SS Kinyarugonjo has a candidate of 15points in Sciences and among others also passed well.
By press time results for Fountain of hope known as London college were not yet released.
Speaking to KKCR FM some of the best candidates appreciated their teachers, Parents and Guardians for the support.
In Kibaale district, St. Kirigwaijjo Secondary School took Preminary lead in the 2019 UACE results with the best two candidates scoring 17 points each.
According to Andrew Tinka the Dean of studies at St Kirigwaijjo SS, they registered 53 candidates of which their best two candidates Martine Tugume and Sebastian Bamugonza scored 17 points each in science subjects.
However, among other Secondary Schools, St. Johns SS in Kibaale and St Kiziito Kibeedi SS by Press time they were still stuck after their results were not yet released.
