Eight corona virus suspects are under self-quarantine in their homes in Kyenjojo District.
The suspects from Nyantungo Sub County and Kyenjojo town council traveled back from United Arab Emirates earlier in March.
The Kyenjojo Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Isaac Kawonawo, says the samples from the suspects were sent to Uganda Virus Research Institute in Entebbe for testing.
He has asked residents to remain calm and follow all the corona virus prevention guidelines issued by government and the Health Ministry.
On Monday evening, government confirmed eight new Corona virus cases bringing to nine, the number of confirmed COVID19 cases in Uganda.
At the suspects had just returned from UAE. COVID19, which started in Wuhan Province in China in December, has so infected 395,579 and claimed 17,234 others worldwide.
