Museveni’s New Year adress time changes to 5PM on Dec. 31

KAMPALA

President Yoweri Museveni will Tuesday December 31, deliver his New Year from his country home in Rwakitura, Kiruhura district and that the address will be telecasted live on all major television and radio stations.

The Senior Presidential Press Secretary, Mr Don Wanyama, said Mr Museveni will talk about issues of “national importance” especially the gains 2019 and government’s plans in 2020.

State House has indicated that the address will be delivered between 5-6PM from the usual 8-9PM but no explanations has been given.

Mr. Museveni is expected to address the nation on the current uneasy political situation in the country and capture murder and kidnaps, progress in infrastructure development.

The President who retreated to his home last week asked the people of Kiruhuura and other areas in Ankole and Kigezi regions to concentrate on rearing exotic cows that are capable of producing at least 20 litres of milk per cow per day or the Ankole cows that produce at least 9 litres per cow per day.

He promised to give more details about this in the new address.

Museveni is also expected to speak about developments in the dairy sector one of the new key ideas in his latest drive Museveni talks farming.

Museveni expected to talk about the East African Federation bickering and the need for cooperation.
