As the NRM members spice up for different party positions, the Executive director Bunyoro Kitara Youths initiative for development Dr.Emmanuel Diini Kisembo has laid the main interests that has forced him plan to contest for the vice chairmanship for western region.
Dr.Emmanuel Diini Kisembo is angling to take two main contenders who have shown interest for the same seat that include the incumbent Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza Uganda’s ambassador to Burundi who is the NRA historical and also Alexander Caleb Akandwanaho Saleh son to Gen Caleb Akandwanaho aka Salim Saleh.
Speaking during a press conference held today at Demo Hotel in Kagadi Town Council Kagadi District Dr Diini Kisembo enlightened his major objectives of standing for the seat.
He says his major objectives are to mobilize resources, secure lands and set up NRM offices, lobby monthly token to NRM structures and veterans, motorcycles/bicycles to NRM chairpersons, engage youth in the western region to denounce pressure groups, decentralize the secretariat in the four regions for effectiveness, and recruit new members from grass root among other objectives.
During the conference, the participants were granted chance to ask different questions and perspective over Dr.Emmanuel Diini Kisembo.
While raising their questions, participants showed their worry as succumbing high to pressure and intimidation from the generals to Dr. Kisembo imposing him to step down for Gen Matayo Kyaligonza.
They articulated that in 2015, Mr.Odurick Rwabwogo son- in-law to HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who had shown interest for the same seat was later advised by top NRM leadership to step down for the incumbent Maj Gen. Matayo Kyaligonza.
In response, Dr.Emmanuel Diini Kisembo assured his supporters that he will not succumb to pressure and intimidation of the generals to step down.
Dr Diini Kisembo however, has clarified that his interest for the Buyaga East MP seat is still on and that he will use the Western vice chairperson NRM seat to lobby more for his constituents in Buyaga East and Western region at large.
Dr Diini Kisembo is traversing making different press conferences elaborating his motives for the Western vice chairperson NRM seat in particular from regions of Bunyoro, Tooro, Ankole and Kigezi respectively.
The press conference attracted the youth chairpersons from the Districts of Kagadi, Kibaale, Kakumiro, Hoima, Kyegegwa and Kyenjojo.
