The Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda will together with the NRM Party Secretary General, Jusstine Kasule Lumumba launch the activities of the Manifesto Week today on Friday.
According to Willis Bashaasha, the Director, Manifesto Implementation Unit, Office of the Predident, the 10-day activity will highlight the main achievements of the National Resistance Movement-led government four years since President Yoweri Museveni was sworn in on May 12, 2016 for the 2016-2021 term.
While addressing journalists Bashaasha said this is the last report of this term.
Ministers of several sections are expected report to Ugandans about what has been achieved on the ground ever since His Excellency the President signed a social contract with Ugandans to deliver several services for this term.
The Manifesto Week launch will also be addressed by the Minister for Presidency Esther Mbayo and the ICT & National Guidance Minister Judith Nabakooba.
The manifesto week will go on as planned amidst COVID-19 pandemic.
The Manifesto Week is celebrated in May every year with activities geared towards taking stock of the achievements of the government.
This year’s presentations will run from May 15 to May 25, 2020 at the Office of the President Auditorium, Kampala.
