Charles Lwanga Monday 47, a secondary school teacher attached to Kigando SS in Kyakwanzi district has committed suicide in Kasungwa village, Kabasekende Sub County in Kibaale district.
Charles Lwanga’s lifeless body was found lying in his Tobacco garden, sides a bottle of a herbicide chemical used to spray tobacco.
It is not clear why Charles Lwanga decided to take his life but some of his neighbors link the suicide to the misunderstandings with his wife Grace Nanyonjo, a civil servant reported to be attached to Kibaale district local government which had left them divorced days ago.
Cornelius Kaija, the LC3 chairperson Kabasekende Sub County was also shocked by the act and challenged the locals to always inform different authorities in case of family misunderstandings.
By the time of filing the story Kibaale police had completed postmortem and allowed the relatives to make burial arrangements but could not give a comment.
