Kagadi
The principle town clerk of Paacwa town council Andrew Koolya, has called on women in the Kagadi district to start piggery projects, in order to be self-reliant economically.
Koolya made the call on Thursday at Paacwa town council offices, while handing over 10 piglets to 10 women groups in Paacwa town council.
Koolya observed that projects like piggery help to empower the women to be self-reliant, instead of waiting for what their husbands will bring home.
According to LC3 chairperson Justus Businge, the distributed piglets multiply in a short period of time and thus could be a remedy for household poverty.
