Kibaale
Kibaale District Personnel Officer, Mathias Sewante best known as Semax, who is accused of abuse of office and extorting money from retired civil servants, has been released on bail after spending a night in Police Custody in Kampala.
Sewante was picked by officials from IGG on Tuesday this week and whisked away to Kampala where he spent a night at Police until yesterday when he appeared before Anti-corruption court, Kololo.
The Magistrate released him on 2 million shillings cash bail and he will reappear before court on 24th next month.
The Principal Assistant Secretary Kibaale, Peter Nsamba stood surety for Sewante on 10 million shillings non-cash bail.
