At least 28 Sub County councilors, 16 LCII and 38 LCI Chairpersons in Bwamiramira and Kibaale town council respectively have received their Ex Gratia.
These have received their Ex Gratia for 12 months with each councilor receiving sh420, 000 as the LCI and LCIIs received sh120, 000 each.
The deputy RDC Kibaale, Carolyne Kashiza Muyambi who oversaw the exercise today afternoon says that the district received 77 million shillings for this year and will benefit the 10 sub-counties and one town council.
She says they have started with Kibaale Town council and Bwamiramira as the exercise is rolling out to other sub-counties.
After receiving their Ex Gratia, the councilors, local council one and two chairpersons who hail the ruling NRM government for remembering them were quick to demand for an increment of their annual ex-gratia arguing that the payment is too little compared to the service they offer to communities.
But deputy RDC Kibaale Carolyne Kashiza Muyambi says they should be patient as they invest the received funds into beneficial enterprises.
