Musician Ibrahim Mayanja aka Big Eye has threatened to drag the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party to court, accusing them of failing to pay him Shs270 million for his performances in the Presidential campaigns of 2011
In his intention to sue June 22 letter through his lawyers of KM Advocates and Associates, Big Eye gave NRM fourteen days within which to clear this debt of face the law.
“It suffices to mention that our client ought to have been fairly and reasonably remunerated not only on a contractual basis but also on grounds of intellectual property law” reads part of the letter.
Last month, Bigeye together with a fellow musician Mugwanya Michael aka DJ Michael reconciled with promoter Balaam Barugahare whom they had earlier accused of failure to deliver the cows which president Museveni had promised them.
