Parents urged to adopt family planning concept

Kakumiro-The minister of health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng has appealed to parents in Kakumiro district to embrace the family planning concept.

She says, by this way they would be able to produce the right number of children they could conveniently cater for, with less financial constraints.

Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng added that, family planning concept  would also help parents to provide vital educational needs like, uniforms, books, footwear and pay the fees of their children in good time to sustain their interest in education for better results.

Commissioning Mwitanzige health centre III in Mwintanzige Sub County, Kakumiro district on Friday Dr.Ruth Aceng expressed concern over the increasing population in the district.

Mwitanzige health centre III was constructed by community members with support from Nabanja Robinah, the state minister for health (General duties).

She says producing   many children puts a burden on government to prevent various diseases instead of focusing on service delivery.

Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng also expressed concern on the escalating of domestic violence cases due to lockdown in the country.

She urged parents to observe their parental roles.

Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng also commissioned the distribution of face masks in Kakumiro district.

Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng was accompanied by state minister of primary health care, Joyce Kaducu, and permanent secretary in the ministry of health –Dr.Diana Atwine among many other officials from the ministry of health.
