A 57-year old man has committed suicide in Ruteete Sub County after his new wife reportedly left him.
The deceased identified as Jackson Mugabirwe a resident of Kinyarwanda village Ruteete sub-county in Kagadi district hanged himself on Wednesday in his house.
He is said to have disagreed with his second wife with whom they had stayed together for about two months.
According to Beyanga Jenina the deceased’s mother, the new wife is reported to have escaped with the family properties which forced Mugabirwe Jackson to commit suicide.
Beyanga Jenina told our reporter that her son committed suicide at around 7pm on Wednesday after local leaders failed to solve conflicts between Jackson Mugabirwe and his wife only identified as Jackeline.
Akankwasa Bernard, the chairperson of Kinyarwanda village told our reporter that Jackson Mugabirwe suspected his wife Jackeline of cheating on him.
By press time police had not yet reached the scene
