Unknown assailants have attacked a family in Kagadi District, resulting in one death and two critical injuries over unknown reasons.
The assault occurred early this morning 07 09 2024 at around 3:30 AM in Nyamanga Cell, Muhorro Town Council.
Asuman Kisembo, the Lc1 chairperson for Nyamanga Cell, reported that a woman was found bound with ropes, with her child deceased and another child severely injured.
The deceased has been identified as William Murungi, a pupil at Good hope Foundation Schools in Muhorro.
The critically injured woman has been identified as Phionah Ahaisibwe and her child Fred Musinguzi who are both currently admitted at Doctors Clinic in Muhorro town for further treatment.
Kisembo condemned the violent attack and urged police to conduct a thorough investigation to bring the perpetrators to justice.
Local residents have also expressed outrage and called for prompt action by law enforcement.
By press time, Kagadi Police had arrived at the crime scene to begin their investigations.
However, they were unavailable for comment at that time.
