The one week training for community development officers (CDO’s) and Sub-County chiefs of Kagadi District about the implementation of Social Assistance Grants for Empowerment (SAGE) has kicked off.
The training started yesturday and will end on Friday this week at Kagadi Community hall in Kagadi Town Council, Kagadi District.
Social Assistance Grant for Empowerment (SAGE) is a Ugandan Programme meant to help Senior Citizens especially old persons aged 65 years and above by giving them a token of Shs25,000 per month with an aim of enabling them to excess basic services, and income generating activities.
The training is proudly sponsored by SAGE experts from the ministry of Gender, Labour & Social Development.
In an interview with KKCR FM Shortly after the first day of training, Ngodwe Posiano the Kagadi District Community Development officer (DCDO) says, their aim of the training is to equip skills and knowledge to community development officers and Sub-County chiefs on how toimplement SAGE program in their Parishes and Sub-counties.
