Bishop Jacob Ateirweho of Bunyoro Kitara Diocese has urged Christians and Anglican leaders to refrain from confirming children under the age of 12.
He made this statement yesterday during a confirmation service for 104 new members at St. Peter’s Burora Church of Uganda Parish in Burora Sub-County, Kagadi District.
Bishop Ateirweho emphasized that children below 12 years are not yet capable of making a personal confession of faith to Christ.
Bishop Jacob Ateirweho also encouraged Christians and community members to prioritize hard work and education for their children, promoting self-reliance and the development of their homes and church.
He expressed his appreciation for the rapid progress being made within the church community.
